Dr. Michael J. Tomcik, M.D.

As a board certified dermatologist, Michael J Tomcik, M.D. is a doctor and a master of medical and cosmetic dermatology. Providing professional expertise along with an artistic eye, Dr. Tomcik delivers healthy and youthful looking skin to his patients. With over 40 years of medical practice and more than 2 decades of experience in laser technology, Dr. Tomcik provides outstanding dermatologic care. A thorough evaluation, combined with his knowledge of anatomy, physiology, design and aesthetics gives each patient a distinctive blend of science and artistry.

Dr. Tomcik is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He did an internship and residency in internal medicine before finding his true passion in Dermatology. He completed a 3-year fellowship in dermatology at the prestigious Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology at the St. Luke's Medical Center as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

With a firmly established medical dermatology practice, Dr. Tomcik treats acne, rashes, nail and hair disease, skin cancer, benign growths, warts, and more. Cosmetic services include treatments such as Micro¬-Fractional CO2 Skin Laser Resurfacing for reducing fine lines and wrinkles and decreasing acne scarring, Botox and Dysport, most FDA approved fillers, 532 Laser and physician strength cosmeceuticals. However, Dr. Tomcik's excellent results are actually a thoughtful combination of quality skin preparation, special laser techniques and physician grade products and sunscreens. His unique care program provides his patients with more comfort and better healing than traditional methods.

Dr. Tomcik has been an active community volunteer at home and abroad. One experience he found especially rewarding and interesting was serving at the Hospital de Ia Familia. He was the first dermatologist to visit this small village in the jungles of Guatemala. Wanting to help even more, he donated equipment to the hospital and trained the staff to perform minor procedures. This way, the care could continue long after his departure.

Dr. Tomcik is an accomplished amateur photographer. His skillful images have been exhibited throughout the U.S., Australia and Europe. He has traveled extensively with his wife Connie, an R.N. and co-founder of Advanced Laser & Skin Care Center and his two children, Devin and Kendra. He is an avid reader, and enjoys skiing, scuba diving, rafting, ocean kayaking and skydiving. He feels his varied interests help him in communicating with his patients about their experiences and needs.
